Places to visit in Goa can
never be enough for anyone, because it is so beautiful that one just
wants more of it. You are never tired of the sandy beaches neither
does the travelling exhaust you. This state is not that big area
wise, but there are many places to visit in Goa. The beaches of Goa
are well known for their beauty and calmness. The entire stretch of
beaches is lined up with tall coconut trees and the cool winds
blowing make one feel all the more relaxed. The tourist season is
particularly high during Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day and
the Carnival season. But these days the travelers do not wait for the
season to come. They love to come to Goa 365 days in the year.
However the water sports are not carried on for the entire year, it
is only during the season that starts from October till March. Even
the beach shacks come up during this time. The beaches are one of the
best places to visit in Goa.
Places to visit in Goa are
very famous for Bollywood movie shooting and a lot of movies have
been shot there. The beaches have been beautifully shot by our
directors and it has come out wonderfully on the screen. This place
has been shot in many movies whether it is the lovely waterfall of
Dudhsagar in Chennai Express or Kabde Rama in Dhoom. There are many
beautiful locations in Goa. One of the very famous place is Cabo de
Rama. It is an old fort in Goa.Portugese captured this fort after
defeating the King of Soonda. The effort has seen many kings and
rulers. There have been both Hindus as well as Muslim rulers on this
fort. It is however a deserted structure. It is said that Portuguese
used it store their weapons as well as commandment Quarters and
Chapel. When Portuguese abandoned it then this Fort served as a State
Prison also for some time. Today it is in Ruins but still quite a
popular tourist attraction in Goa.
